It’s fun to play Santa, but we want to pass that role on to parents so that they can receive the credit, while we take the role of his little helpers! Would you join us in being elves for our 9th annual Christmas in the Village?
You can read about a past year’s store HERE, and find out more about what led us to create Christmas in the Village HERE!
Keep scrolling to find out how you can be involved!
THERE ARE MANY WAYS YOU CAN BE INVOLVED!
Become a Sponsor - We are looking for local businesses & churches who would like to host toy drives or make contributions to fund the event! Sponsors will be highlighted on our social media accounts leading up to the event.
Donate New Toys - You can shop on our WISHLIST to deliver toys straight to us! Or simply use our list for ideas if you'd rather shop at a local store. We ask that toys be new, not over $85, no weapons (including nerf & water guns), & no expensive electronic devices. You can drop off new toys at one of our TOY DRIVE LOCATIONS.
Donate Wrapping Supplies - We will need endless supplies of wrapping paper, tape & bows! Families will have the choice to take a roll of wrapping paper home or have it wrapped by volunteers at the Treehouse before they go.
Donate Treats - What’s better than Christmas cookies while Christmas shopping?! We would love to send everyone home with pre-packaged Christmas goodies for their families to enjoy! This is a great opportunity for a family to make yummy treat bags or a small group to have a baking party! If you’d like creative ideas check out our Pinterest page HERE. Let us know how many you can donate HERE.
Volunteer - In order to prioritize long-term relationships and to keep the shopping experience intimate and intentional, only regular Oak Tree volunteers will be invited to volunteer with us in person during shopping hours. Current volunteers will receive an email to sign up in the weeks leading up to the event. New volunteers are invited to join us for set up on Saturday, December 13th from 10-4pm and Sunday, December 14th from 2pm-5pm (come and go according to your availability). If you would like to help with set up simply email Lisa to put your name on the list and receive more details. If you’re sad to miss out on the store, we encourage you to find ways to get plugged in with us on a more regular basis so that you’ll be ready to join us next year!
